Abstract
Psychosocial issues in Indonesia are showing an increasing and increasingly complex trend, influenced by social dynamics, economic pressures, and changing patterns of social relations. This situation is also reflected at the regional and local levels, including in Ponorogo Regency, which is characterized by a communal society with strong social bonds but still faces cases of domestic violence and family conflict that impact mental health. Given these conditions, a facility is needed that not only functions as a therapy service center but also supports holistic recovery through a community-based approach. This study aims to design a Community Healing Center in Ponorogo by applying a trauma-responsive design approach. The methods used include analyzing spatial needs, site conditions, user characteristics, and synthesizing trauma-responsive design principles into architectural concepts. The design results indicate that the application of the healing flow concept through gradual zoning (public, semi-private, private), the integration of natural elements, and the provision of community spaces can create an environment that is safe, comfortable, and psychologically supportive. Thus, the designed Community Healing Center not only serves as a facility for individual recovery but also as a venue for social interaction that supports the collective healing process in accordance with the character of the Ponorogo community.
