Abstract
Amerta Stadium in Magelang Regency is a public facility that can be used for paid soccer games and training, as well as various other non-sports activities. However, based on the results of the three aspects of the post-occupancy evaluation (POE), it can be concluded that the current condition of Amerta Stadium is less than optimal. Based on a review of the field’s condition, it was found that there is significant damage in terms of technical aspects, functionality, and structural behavior of the building. Additionally, based on field observations and working drawings, Amerta Stadium currently has a seating capacity of only 5,339 spectators. This clearly does not meet the standards for a Type B stadium located in a regency, which requires a seating capacity of 10,000–30,000 seats. This redesign aims to restore the stadium’s functionality to make it more comfortable and optimal for users through an adaptive architecture approach. The methods employed include observation, interviews, literature review, comparative studies, and data analysis through post-occupancy evaluation to identify appropriate planning concepts. The result of the redesign is a stadium building that meets standards and features a more comprehensive range of supporting facilities. It is hoped that the redesign of Amerta Stadium using an adaptive architectural approach will accommodate various sports and non-sports activities for the local community.
