Abstract

This study aims to (1) Has an integrated social studies student package development model of material in the seventh grade of Indonesia's natural state of MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta, (2) Determine the effectiveness of the development of integrated social studies student textbooks material in the seventh grade of Indonesia's natural state of MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta. The development model uses the Thiagaraja 4D model. The study design used one group pretest-posttest design with 62 respondents. The study was conducted at MTs 1 Surakarta with taking techniques using two classes, namely, the experimental class and the control class. The data analysis technique used is the T-test, there is an increase in the value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class. The difference in the results of the understanding of the material nature of Indonesia in the control class experienced only a slight increase, namely the average pretest 45 and the average posttest 75 while the difference in the results of student understanding in the experimental class on the material of the Indonesian natural conditions at the pretest and posttest increased by 28 average pretest 57 and increase with posttest 85 average. The value of the control class is smaller than the experimental class, namely the control class average value of 45% pretest and the average posttest 75% while in the experimental class the average value of pretest is 57% and the average value of posttest is 85%. The T-test test shows a significant value (2-tailed) = 000 which means less than 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
