Abstract

The principal is a teacher who is given the mandate to carry out structural positions in schools, whose main task is to lead and manage human resources in schools. The purpose of this research is to describe planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating school principals in improving teacher performance in the preparation and implementation of learning tools. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Unggulan Botok Kerjo Karanganyar Program. This research used a qualitative research design/model with a case study approach, the data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation with data validity tests including validity tests, namely using source triangulation techniques. data analysis using the interactive Miles & Huberman model, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are 1) The school principal plays a role in establishing the vision, mission, and mandatory programs for teachers, namely: the KKG program, the workshop program, the curriculum division is required to remind teachers to make learning tools every semester break. ; 2) The principal acts as a work group organizer, namely: the principal creates a school division or deputy head, then the school principal and the curriculum division group teachers according to their fields, class teachers are grouped in levels and subject teachers are grouped according to their scientific fields; 3) The principal acts as an assessor, motivator, promoter, and as a guide; 4) The principal acts as a monitor, supervisor, and as a mentor.
