Abstract

The development of news digitization has increased the dissemination of information through online media, but has also given rise to clickbait and content duplication practices that have the potential to violate journalists' moral and economic rights. This study aims to analyze copyright law regulations in Indonesia regarding the protection of journalistic works in the digital era and formulate a concept for preventive legal protection to address these practices. The method used is normative legal research with a legislative and conceptual approach, utilizing secondary data analyzed qualitatively. The results indicate that the protection of journalistic works is regulated in Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright through the recognition of the moral and economic rights of creators. However, the effectiveness of this protection still faces obstacles in the form of high levels of digital content reproduction and weak oversight in cyberspace. The ideal concept of preventive legal protection is implemented through regulatory harmonization, strengthening the responsibility of digital platforms, increasing public digital literacy, and optimizing the verification of press companies. These efforts are expected to protect journalists' rights and support the creation of a credible and equitable digital information ecosystem
