Abstract

Adolescent health is an important aspect of public health development. The Adolescent Posyandu Program, as one of the Community-Based Health Efforts (Upaya Kesehatan Bersumberdaya Masyarakat [UKBM]), plays an important role in providing promotive and preventive health services for adolescents. The successful implementation of this program is influenced by the knowledge of health cadres. This study aimed to describe the level of health cadres' knowledge regarding the Adolescent Posyandu Program in the working area of Baki Community Health Center, Sukoharjo. This study employed a quantitative research design with a descriptive survey approach. A total of 86 health cadres were selected using the Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability and were analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that most respondents were aged 46–59 years (74.4%), all respondents were female (100%), had completed senior or vocational high school education (58.1%), were unemployed (51.2%), had served as health cadres for more than six years (62.8%), and had never attended training (89.5%). Most health cadres had a moderate level of knowledge (47.7%), followed by a good level (34.9%) and a poor level (17.4%). In conclusion, most health cadres in the working area of Baki Community Health Center, Sukoharjo, had a moderate level of knowledge regarding the Adolescent Posyandu Program. Therefore, continuous guidance and training are needed to improve health cadres' knowledge and support the successful implementation of the Adolescent Posyandu Program.
