Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid GeoGebra-based mathematics learning media equipped with investigative questions and see the effect of GeoGebra-based learning media equipped with investigative questions on improving student understanding on the topic of the Pythagorean theorem. This type of research is R&D with the ADDIE development model. The research subjects consisted of 30 randomly selected 8th grade students. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The research method is a pre-experimental design of type One Group Pretest- Posttest Design. The data analyzed technique used was a paired sample T-test. The results of media and material validation show that the media is valid, with many variables categorized as "highly valid." The results of the t-test show that the mean value of the post- test is higher than the mean value of the pre-test, which means that there is an increase in student understanding after the application of geogebra-based learning media equipped with investigative questions. The results also show that the significance obtained is 0.000, which is less than 0.05, which means h0 was rejected and h1 was accepted. This means that there is a significant difference between students' understanding before and after applying geogebra-based learning media equipped with investigative questions on the topic of the Pythagorean theorem.
