Abstract
This study aims to describe the proces, effecttiviteness, constraints, and solutions related to understanding the value of Indonesian democracy using Powerpoint With a combination of student facilitator and explining models in grade VIII-A students of SMPN 4 Sragen. This research uses a mixed method, namely quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative approach design uses Pre-experimental with One Group Pretest Posttest Design, while qualitative research uses case studies. Quantitative data collection techniques use test methods, while qualitative uses observation and interviews. The quantitative instrument validity test is used to measure the validity of test items with a rough number product-moment correlation formula and a test instrument reliability test using the KR 20 formula. The validity of qualitative data using source triangulation and techniques. Test requirements in the form of normality using Lilliefors and Homogeneity with Bartlett. Quantitative data analysis using the Paried Sample T-test. Qualitative data analysis using a flow model. Research Results related to the use of Powerpoints Are narrated a combination of the Student Facilitator and Explining models, namely by providing questions (Pretest), then providing material through the display of Powerpoint. Students are appointed to express their opinions to other students, then give questions (Posttest) and close the learning process with a conclusion. The use of Powerpoint with a combination of the Student Facilitator and Explining models has proven to be effective as can be seen from the difference in the average value (Pretest) of 72.1 increased to 84.2 on (Posttest). The obstacles faced during the implementation of the research are time constraints, facilities and infrastructure in the classroom, and student limitations in understanding the material. An alternative solution to overcome these obstacles is to prepare early regarding the use of LCDs as a means of displaying Geared Powerpoints. The hypothesis proposed by Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that there was a difference between before treatment (Pretest) and after treatment (Posttest) through the use of Powerpoint In combination with the Student Facilitator and Explining models. Based on the conclusions above, it provides conclusions that if the teacher wants to improve students' understanding of the value of Indonesian Democracy to increase, it is very appropriate to use Powerpoint with a combination of the Student Facilitator and Explining models.
