Abstract
This study aims to find out the picture of the relationship between learning independence and self-control with student learning discipline in the covid-19 pandemic. The hypothesis in this study is the relationship between Independence of Learning and Self-Control with The Discipline of Learning in Students. This research method is a descriptive quantitative method with a measuring tool for learning independence scale, self-control scale and Learning discipline scale. The subjects in this study are the Student Population who have active status, Strata 1 (S1) level semester 1-8 Faculty of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Based on the results of the correlation test simultaneously multiple regression variables of learning independence and self-control with the discipline of learning in the covid-19 pandemic, obtained the value Ry12 = 0.926 significance of p < 0.001 means that together the variables of learning independence and self-control have a positive and significant relationship to the student learning discipline in the covid-19 pandemic. Which partially regresses double the variable of learning independence with student learning disciplines in the pandemic covid-19, in the value 0.601 with a significance of p < 0.001 which shows there is a significant relationship between independence of learning and the discipline of studying in the pandemic covid-19. Based on the results of the partial correlation test, double regression of self-control variables with student learning discipline in the covid-19 pandemic period. Obtained a value 0.292 and significance of p < 0.001, thus stating that there is a significant relationship between self-control and student learning discipline in the pandemic covid-19. The ability learning independence to explain the learning discipline variable is 60.1% and the self control variable ability to explain discipline variable is 29.2%. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between the independence of learning to student learning disciplines during the covid-19 pandemic, and the existence of a significant relationship between self-control of student learning disciplines during the covid-19 pandemic.
