Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) To describe the structure of the Sepenggal Bulan Untukmu Novel by Zhaenal Fanani. (2) Describe the image of woman in the novel Sepenggal Bulan Untukmu by Zhaenal Fanani. (3) Describe the implementation of the Sepenggal Bulan Untukmu by Zhaenal Fanani as an Indonesian language learning in high school. Research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative research design. The data in this study are data in the form of sentences, and discourse contained in the novel Sepenggal Bulan Untukmu by Zhaenal Fanani. Data collection techniques used in this study are listening and note taking. The data validity method used is theory triangulation. The results of this study indicate that 1) The structure in Sepenggal Bulan Untukmu by Zhaenal Fanani seen from a story that shows the result of combination between the theme and facts of the story. The theme is abut patience and determinatin women in life, as well as a tenacity that never give up in wheels of life. Plot which is used is an advanced plot with a story setting set in Java. The main character in this novel is a woman called Tumirah. The background used in 2009 – 2010. 2) The image of women in the Novel Sepenggal Bulan Untukmu by Zhaenal Fanani is depicted through women who have highly educated images, independent images and images of women in social life. 3) Based on the results of the study note that the implementation of the Sepenggal Bulan Untukmu novel by Zhaenal Fanani are implementable on teaching literature in highschool grade 12 semester 2.
