Abstract

This study aims to describe the process, effectiveness, constraints and solutions the application Index Card Match strategy collaboration Team Quiz to increase the understanding of Indonesian Democracy values in grade IX B junior high school students muhammadiyah 7 Banyudono Boyolali Regency in 2020/2021. This study uses a combination of qualitative and qualitative methods. quantitative (Mixing Methods). The quantitative uses Pre-experimental design with the One Group Pretest Posttest Design while the qualitative approach design uses case studie. Quantitative data collection using tests. Qualitative data collection techniques using in-depth interviews and observation. The validity of quantitative data uses the validity test of the test instrument using the Correlation Product Moment formula of rough numbers and. The reliability of the test instrument using the KR.20 formula. The validity of qualitative data uses triangulation of sources and techniques. Quantitative data analysis used Paired Sample t-test. Data analysis in qualitative using flow model analysis. The results showed that the pretest average score of 65.20 increased to 79.17 at the posttest. Paired Sample T-test found that t count is greater than t table 9.481> 0.2064. The results of the two data are then compared so that the pretest and poststest mean values can be 13.97. Based on these results it can be seen that there is an increase in the average value of the pretest and posttest. The hypothesis proposed in the form of Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in understanding the values of Indonesian democracy between before (Pretest) and after being given treatment (Posttest) by applying the Index Card Match Strategy Quiz Team collaboration to class IX B students of Junior High School Muhammadiyah 7 Banyudono Regency Boyolali 2020/2021 school year.The constraints faced in this study were mainly the distance traveled and time constraints. An alternative solution to overcome these obstacles is that researchers arrive earlier than scheduled and must be good at managing time properly. The above conclusion implies that if the teacher wants student understanding related to the values of Indonesian Democracy to be high, then learning should application Index Card Match strategy in collaboration Team Quiz.
