Abstract
The research was intended to (1) describe the process of applying the improvisation method to the biographical text of Indonesian language learning. (2) describe the obstacles experienced by class X teacher when applying improvisation methods in Indonesian language learning. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The validity test of the data used in this research is data triangulation and theory triangulation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are (1) the implementation of the improvisation method in the biographical text of Indonesian language learning, namely the responses of the class X teacher in using the previous method in learning, the responses of the class X students after the teacher taught by using the improvised method, the learning assessment/evaluation system and the process of applying the method learning is the improvisation method. (2) the obstacles experienced by teacher and students when doing learning in the classroom are time constrains and limited circumstances. Although the limited time in learning does not reduce the enthusiasm of studens to learning.
