Abstract

Social studies is part of the school curriculum which is responsible for helping students in developing knowledge and skills. The importance of the functions and objectives of social studies learning is largely determined by the achievement of the social studies learning process. The study aimed to: 1) Investigating the impact of the application of brainstorming method on social studies subjects in class VIII students at SMP Islam Terpadu At-tawaazun, 2) Knowing the factors that made the activities and learning outcomes of Social Studies subjects Class VIII Students at SMP Islam Terpadu At-Tawaazun. This study used data collection methods namely observation, interviews and documentation so that cross check in this study was carried out by checking the results of interviews with research subjects with data obtained from documentation. In this study, the validity of the data was guaranteed to be accurate and in accordance with the existing data, a cross check was carried out between the results of the interview and the cross check between the results of the interview and the results of the documentation regarding Brainstorming Learning in Increasing Activities and Learning Outcomes in Social Sciences Subjects for Class VIII Students SMP Islam Terpadu At-Tawaazun . The results of this study indicated hat: The impact of the application of the brainstorming method in social studies subjects. The brainstorming method was ffective in increasing activity and learning outcomes in social studies subjects.
