Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and career development on turnover intention by mediating job satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, totaling 70 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling, namely the sampling technique carried out with certain considerations. The data collection method uses a questionnaire that is distributed to respondents. The results of the study explain that firstly compensation and career development have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, secondly compensation has no effect on turnover intention, but career development and job satisfaction have a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. The three job satisfaction can mediate the effect of compensation on turnover intention and job satisfaction can also mediate the effect of career development on turnover intention
