Abstract
The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the effectiveness of powerpoint narrative on earthquake-based online learning material at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kartasura, Sukoharjo Regency. (2) Improving student learning outcomes by using narrative powerpoints on earthquake-based online learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kartasura, Sukoharjo Regency. This research is a quantitative research. The design used is pre-experimental, in the form of One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. The data collection techniques used were documentation, observation and tests. The prerequisite test for data analysis used the normality test. Test data analysis using the T test (T-Test) to answer the hypothesis. The population in this study were students of class VIII and IX SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kartasura, Sukoharjo Regency, totaling 40 students. Sampling using purposive sampling, namely sampling based on research objectives. The results showed that (1) powerpoint narrative was effective in learning earthquake materials. This can be seen based on the results of hypothesis testing using paired samples test showing a significant value of 0.000, which means <0.05 that the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results of data analysis in this study, it can be concluded that the powerpoint narrative media is declared effective. (2) Improved student learning outcomes by using powerpoint narrative on online-based earthquake material at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kartasura, Sukoharjo Regency. This can be seen through an increase in the pretest average score of 37.2 and the posttest average score of 70.05. So that there was an increase in the average pretest and posttest score of 88%.
