Abstract

This study describes the implementation of the chain writing method for Kalas VII students of Pangkalan Bun Muhammadiyah Middle School. The purpose of this study is to describe the chain writing method in Indonesian Language learning for Grade VII students of SMP Muhammadiyah Pangkalan Bun. The research seal was grade VII students of Pangklan Bun Muhammadiyah Middle School. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that learning Indonesian in class VII matches the lessons being learned, in the fable text the method used by the active teacher is passive. Demand students to hone ideas or ideas so they can be developed. For chain writing method a) the teacher gives motivation, b) explanation of fable text material, c) explanation of chain writing method, d) group formation, e) writing fable writing using chain writing method, f) self-assignment, and g) assessment. The application of this method is welcomed by students, because in addition to sharpening writing skills it also enhances teamwork, socializing with friends around, increasing reasoning, and increasing students' thinking sharpness.
