Abstract

Purpose of this research to describe critical thinking skills of male and female students in solving two variables linier equation system (SPLDV) story problems in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta. The type of this research is qualitatif research with descriptive approach. The techniques of data analysis used by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The techniques of data collection used by observation, written tests, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research showed that critical thinking skills of female students are included in the high category while the critical thinking skills of male students are included in all category, high, medium and low. So, critical thinking skills between male and female students.
