Abstract
Early childhood is said to be the most important time for children to develop and explore their potential abilities. This study aims to explain the picture of social interaction in children aged 5 to 6 years at the beginning of school entry at RA Nurul Ulum Sokokidul Kebonagung Demak. This study uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. The number of subjects used in this study were 5 subjects. Data collection methods in this study used the interview method. This research uses Member checks. Data analysis techniques used in this study were using Content Analysis. Based on the results of this study concluded that. In the process of assimilation or integration, when they first enter BAK school, boys need approximately two weeks to dare to mingle with their friends while ZV for girls takes approximately one and a half months, in contrast to BBP and BPW for boys who dared to mingle with friends when they first entered school because the child had a twin sister. Forms of social contact on BPW, BAK and BBP boys in activities are more active because children like to insist, fight over toys, fight for seats, playgrounds and in running-running, shooting, fighting, battles, such as the Army and Police. ZV girls tend to be passive in playing, telling stories, cooking, learning, coloring, tidying toys with their close female friends. Keywords: Social Interaction, Childen Aged 5 To 6 Years
