Abstract
The purpose of this research is to describe (1) dance extracurricular planning in instilling disciplined and independent characters in upper class students at SD Aisyiyah Featured Gemolong, (2) Implementation of dance extracurricular activities in instilling disciplined and independent characters in upper class students at SD Aisyiyah Featured Gemolong, (3) Extracurricular evaluation of dance in instilling disciplined and independent character in upper class students at SD Aisyiyah Unggulan Gemolong. This research uses qualitative research type, using descriptive qualitative research design. The results obtained are (1) Planning extracurricular dance activities in instilling disciplined and independent characters not using RPP and syllabus (2) Implementation of dance extracurricular activities in instilling disciplined and independent characters in the form, direction and guidance of teachers so that students obey the rules at school and in class and habituation students always learn by themselves. The constraint of the teacher in instilling discipline and independent character is the presence of facilities and infrastructure factors and student factors. Teacher solutions in overcoming obstacles instill discipline and independent character by optimizing existing classrooms as well as habits and approaches to students. (3) Extracurricular evaluation of dance in instilling discipline and independent character through affective and psychomotor assessments through direct observation by the teacher, and making improvements to the movement at the time the activity takes place and at the end of the activity takes place.
