Abstract

Learning Indonesian through the snowball throwing method at SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. August, 2019. This research aims to (a) identify Indonesian Language Learning with the Snowball Throwing Method in SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura (b) find out the benefits of Indonesian Language Learning with the Snowball Throwing Method in SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura. This research is a class action research and consists of 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were 30 students of class VII SMP 2 Kartasura. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, tests and interviews. Data collection techniques using descriptive qualitative and descriptive descriptive. The results of this study are an increase in student learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects using the snowball throwing method. The results of the study were 35% before using the snowball throwing method, 58% of the results of the first cycle and increased to 88% in the second cycle. The benefits of using the snowball throwing method are to help students better understand learning, increase student focus in learning, make filmmaking students absorb knowledge in learning and not get bored in learning.
