Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Learning the implementation of multicultural education in learning Indonesian in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel. 2) learning the content of multicultural education materials in learning Indonesian in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel. The subject of this research is Indonesian language material in textbooks used at Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel Middle School, teachers, and students at Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel Middle School. Data collection techniques used were interviews and observations. In this study the validity of the data using data triangulation by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using source triangulation techniques. The results of this study concluded: 1) Implementation of multicultural education in learning Indonesian in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel. In the application or implementation of multicultural education in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel there are three stages or phases of the learning process in achieving educational goals, namely: a. The first stage is the planning of learning Indonesian. b. The second stage, the implementation of learning Indonesian. c. The third stage, evaluation of learning Indonesian. 2) The content of multicultural education materials in learning Indonesian in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel. From some of the books that have been chosen by the teacher among others in the book: a. Class VII Indonesian language book package published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2016. b. Platinum Book, Indonesian Language and Literature class VII curriculum 2013, 2016 revised edition published by PT Tiga Serangkai Pustaka Mandiri. c. The Expert Book, Indonesian Language Class VII A 2013 curriculum published by CV Aviva. d. The seventh semester Indonesian language book published by Intan Pariwara. e. The seventh semester Indonesian language book published by Intan Pariwara.
