Abstract
Background: Sleep disorders can be experienced by anyone, but as we get older the likelihood of sleep disorders will be higher. This is caused by differences in sleep cycles in each human being and is relatively influenced by age. Physical activity / movement is every movement of the body that requires expenditure of energy and energy. Expenditures of personnel used to carry out physical activity are closely related to improving the quality of life of a person in order to continue to actively carry out activities, organize, interact with the environment and carry out activities continuously. Hypertension or in other words high blood pressure is a state of blood pressure where a person's blood pressure is above the normal limit of blood pressure. Objective: To find out the relationship between the quality of sleep and blood pressure and the relationship between physical activity and blood pressure in the elderly at the Elderly Posyandu in Tohudan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency. Research Methods: Correlation design and cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all elderly Posyandu members in Tohudan Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency. The sample in this study amounted to 108 people taken using the purposive random sampling method. Data collection was used by filling in 2 questionnaires, namely GPPAQ (General Practice Physical Activity Commission) and PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) and blood pressure measurements using a Sphygmomanometer. Research Results: The highest sleep quality of the respondents was 66 people (61.1%) which was bad and had blood pressure above the normal limit, the physical activity of the most respondents was normal and active, 37 people (34.3%), then for the most blood pressure hypertension with 66 people (61.1%), then analyzed by chi square test and get Sig. = 0,000 for the relationship of quality of sleep with blood pressure and 0,000 for the relationship of physical activity with blood pressure ... This means there is a relationship between the quality of sleep and blood pressure and there is a relationship between physical activity and blood pressure in the elderly in the elderly Posyandu in the village of Tohudan, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency. It is expected that people can maintain the quality of sleep and do more physical activity so that their blood pressure can be more stable. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the quality of sleep and blood pressure, and there is a relationship between physical activity and elderly blood pressure in the elderly posyandu in Tohudan village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency.
