Abstract

This class of action research aims to improve the activity of mathematics and learning outcomes of V A class students through learning peer Tutor with STAD strategy at SDN 01 NANGSRI. The research method used is class action research. The results of research that has been done, the increase in the learning activity of class V A students on the pre-cycle indicators cooperate in a group of 7 students (23%), actively convey opinions or ideas 6 students (20%), answering questions from the teacher A total of 4 students (13%), asked if they did not understand the material 9 students (30%). Cycle I indicator works together in a group of 12 students (40%), actively delivering opinions or ideas as many as 17 students (57%), answering questions from the teacher of 11 students (37%), asked if they did not understand the material 16 students (53%). Cycle II An indicator cooperates in a group of 20 students (67%), actively delivering 25 students ' opinions or ideas (83%), answering questions from a teacher of 23 students (77%), asking if we have not understood the material 22 students (73%). Increased mathematics learning outcomes of V A-grade students in the pre-cycle of 8 students (27%), in cycle I, there were an increase of 19 students (63%), the II cycle increased by 27 students (90%). The conclusion of this research is the learning of peer Tutor with STAD can improve the activity and learning results of mathematics student V A class in SD Negeri 01 Nangsri.
