Abstract

Students' scientific attitudes can be developed through the application of Practicum learning. Practical activities are expected to carry out abstract learning by making facts discoveries that occur during the practicum process. This study aims to find out how much scientific attitude students have in Biology practicum class VIII SMP N 2 Gatak Sukoharjo Even Semester Academic Year 2018/2019. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The sampling technique is Purposive Sampling, sampling by specifying specific characteristics that are in accordance with the objectives of the study so that it is expected to answer the research problems .The technique of collecting data by observation and documentation by observing the scientific attitude of students at the time of the practicum. The population used in this study was class VIII E, VIII F, VIII G in the second semester with a total of 74 students. The aspects used in the data collection are curiosity, critical thinking, espec attitude towards data / facts, open mindedness, and can work together with other people and attitudes of discovery and creativity. Pursuant to the research that has been done, the result that the scientific attitude of students on practical subjects Biology Semester II class VIII SMP N 2 Gatak Sukoharjo included in the category enough with a percentage of 67.07% mastery.
