Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine: (1) The effect of profitability on firm value, (2) The effect of CSR on firm value, and (3) The effect of CSR in moderating the effect of profitability on firm value. The population of this research is all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017, where there are 89 samples that will be used in this test. The analytical method used in this study is: classic assumption test, multiple regression test, moderated regression analysis test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the test show that profitability has a positive effect on firm value, CSR has a positive effect on firm value, and CSR cannot strengthen the influence of profitability on firm value.
