Abstract

This study aims to analyze and test: (1) the effect of the implementation of props-based Numbered Head Together (NHT) strategy on mathematics learning outcomes, (2) the influence of mathematical communication on mathematics learning outcomes, and (3) Interaction between Numbered Head Together strategies (NHT) based on teaching aids and mathematical communication on mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is based on a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental research design. The population in this study was students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura in the Academic Year of 2018/2019. The sampling technique in this study was cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques in this study are test methods and documentation methods. The analysis technique in this study is the analysis of variance of two different cell paths. With a 5% significance level, it can be concluded that: (1) there is the influence of the props-based Numbered Head Together (NHT) strategy on mathematics learning outcomes with , (2) there is the influence of mathematical communication on mathematics learning outcomes with , and (3) no interaction between the application of Numbered Head Together (NHT) based on teaching aids and mathematical communication to mathematics learning outcomes with = 0.809.
