Abstract

Baiti, Rika Thorfi Nur/A610140030. PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BUKU KOMIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII PADA MATERI BENCANA ERUPSI GUNUNG BERAPI DI SMP NEGERI 3 SAWIT BOYOLALI. Skripsi. Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Oktober, 2018. This study aims to determine 1) the development of the learning of comic book media on the material of volcanic eruption disaster 2) to know the improvement of learning outcomes of grade VII students in SMP Negeri 3 Sawit Boyolali regarding the volcanic eruption disaster using comic book media. This research is a research and development (Research & Development) that uses thedevelopment design model Dick & Carrey. Processing learning media using the Paint Tool Sai software, Corel Draw X5 and Corel Photo Paint X5 obtained the final product in the form of a comic book. Research design using Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Data techniques used are documentation, interviews, tests and questionnaires. The development of comic book products through the validation phase of material experts and media experts with an average score of 5.0 with the category "EXCELLENT". Data analysis techniques in this study using reliability test, normality test, different test / hypothesis test. The results showed that 1) Based on the assessment of material experts and media experts, the comic book learning media was appropriate to be used for learning as a learning medium in the material of volcanic eruption disaster, 2) Learning in the experimental class using comic book media had an increase in the average value pretest 49.12 and the average posttest score 77.74 shows a significant value of 0.000 <0.05. While the control class without using the media got an average pretest score of 49.96 and an average posttest score of 56.42, it can be concluded that after the use of comic book learning media there was an increase in student learning outcomes.
