Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the sociohistorical setting of Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy, (2) the elements that build the novel 3 Wali 1 Bidadari Lelaki Pilihan Abah byTaufiqurrahman Al-Azizy, (3) the inner conflict of the main character contained in the novel 3 Wali 1 Bidadari Lelaki Pilihan Abah by Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy, (4) its relevance as an Indonesian language teaching material in high scholl. This study uses a qualitative method. The data in this study are in the form of word, sentences, and paragraphs and events containing information about the inner conflict of the main character in the novel 3 Wali 1 Bidadari Lelaki Pilihan Abah by Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy. The source of the data in this study is a novel by 3 Wali 1 Bidadari Lelaki Pilihan Abah Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy. Data collection techniques in this study using semiotic reading model method namely heuristic and hermeneutic readings. The results and discussion are (1) Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy’s sociohistorical setting that he was born on Desember 9, in Boyolali, Central Java. He had attended the Pesantren Science Al-Qur’an namely the Hidayatul Qur’an which was raised by KH. Drs. Ahsin Wijaya Al-Hafizh, M.A, (2) the element that build the novel by 3 Wali 1 Bidadari Lelaki Pilihan Abah Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy raised a blend of themes from religion, love, and culture. The flow in the novel uses an advanced plot. The caracters involed were Nyai Syarifah, Kiai Baedlowi, Afandi, Ghozali, Bilal, dan Arsyad. The setting of the place in the novel includes Cirebon, Pesantren Buntet Jombang, Sukamukti, Pesantren Tebu Ireng Jawa Timur, Pasar, Boyolali, Karawang, Benda Karep, dan Karangmangu. The timeline was told in 2013. The atmosphere sad, confused, and bliss, (3) the inner conflict contained in the novel by 3 Wali 1 Bidadari Lelaki Pilihan Abah Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy which includes, (a) conflict approaching (approach approaches), (b) conflict approaching (approach-avoidance conflict), (c) conflict away (avoidance-avoidance conflict), (4) relevance of research result inner conflict of the main character in the novel by 3 Wali 1 Bidadari Lelaki Pilihan Abah Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy as a teaching material in high school class XII because it fits the criteria of teaching materials, namely language, psychology, and cultur setting.
