Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of students' mathematical literacy in solving problems of type PISA 2015 on the content of space and shape (space and shape). Ability of math literacy there are 4 indicators. The four indicators are formulating real problems in problem solving, using math in problem solving, interpreting solutions in problem solving and evaluating solutions in problem solving. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study are two students taken from class IX B in MTs Muhammadiyah Nalumsari academic year 2017/2018. Data collection techniques used in the study of test techniques, documentation techniques and interview techniques. The validity of the data using technique triangulation techniques and triangulation of sources, while data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The lowest percentage gain of 20.91% means that some students have not been able to evaluate the solution of the given problem. The highest percentage of 29.55% means that the students during the work have been able to formulate the real problem contained in the problem. The results of this study indicate that 4 capabilities that must be met students to have the ability literasi in problem solving.
