Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of thematic learning at SDIT Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar Kartasura, describing the process of thematic teaching planning at SDIT muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar Kartasura, teacher obstacles in implementing thematic learning at SDIT Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar Kartasura. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation. Data is analyzed through data reduction steps, data display, and data verification. Technique examination of data validity is done by triangulation of source and technique. The result of the research shows that: (1) The teacher conducts the preliminary, core, closing activities according to the Plan, (2) The teacher has prepared the lesson plan and prepare the lesson for easier learning (3) Obstacles experienced by the teacher in the implementation of thematic learning is material there Which is not in accordance with the indicator, the time is limited with the demands of many themes, there is material that can not in thematic, the condition of students when following the learning hour.
