Abstract

Students who reach undergraduate level are required to prepare a thesis. This research aims to examine the relationship between family support and academic stress in students who are writing their thesis. This research uses a correlational quantitative method using Purposive Sampling techniques with a sample of 100 students with criteria 1). F.Psi, FEB and FIK students who are registered actively in the 2023-2024 academic year, 2) Class 2017 to 2020, and 3) Aged 21 – 25 years This research uses the student academic stress scale instrument in preparing the thesis and the family support scale . The aim of this research is to prove the existence of a relationship between family support and academic stress in students when preparing their thesis. The results of hypothesis testing using the Pearson correlation test show that there is a very significant correlation between family support (X) and students' academic stress in preparing their thesis (Y). This proves that the research hypothesis is accepted. As for the contribution of family support to the emergence of academic stress, the Effective Contribution result was 57%. Meanwhile, 43% is influenced by other factors not examined in this thesis.
