Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the objectives, materials, metodes, media, and evaluation of the implementation of Qur'anic character education through hizbul wathan extracurricular activities. This study uses qualitative. The subjects of this study were school principals, vice principals, and extracurricular coaches of Hizbul Wathan. Methods of collecting data through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used three techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study (1) Hizbul Wathan extracurricular at SD Muhammadiyah Tanon aims to prepare and foster children to have independent, tenacious, responsible, disciplined and virtuous personalities with the aim of realizing a true Muslim person and ready to become a cadre of organizations, people and nation. (2) Character education materials taught in Hizbul Wathan extracurricular activities are the shahada, the pillars of Islam, the pillars of faith,daily prayers, obligatory prayers, sunnah prayers, adhan and iqomah, how to dress as a Muslim, being polite to others, discipline, memorizing the letters in the Qur'an, maintaining cleanliness and health, as well as studying and imitating the behavior of the Prophet Muhammad. In face-to-face learning, the material taught focuses on four materials, namely muhammadiyahan, memorizing short letters, memorizing daily prayers, and rigging. (3) The method used in the implementation of character education through Hizbul Wathan extracurricular is the lecture method, discussion method, and demonstration. (4) The media used for the implementation of character education through Hizbul Wathan extracurricular is using traditional media in the surrounding environment such as blackboards, sticks, and ropes. (5) Evaluation is used to assess the results of the implementation of character education through Hizbul Wathan extracurricular. The form of evaluation carried out by the school in responding to the application of Qur'anic character education through Hizbul Wathan extracurriculars are oral evaluation, portfolio evaluation, and practice evaluation.
