Abstract
Toddler is a time when the child's brain develops rapidly in response to the surrounding environment. Children enter a period of intensive environmental exploration. They find out how something happened. The process of child growth and development can take place naturally, but this process is very dependent on adults or parents. Anticipatory guidance is an anticipatory guidance guide that is needed by parents to direct their children wisely according to the age of each child. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between anticipatory guidance and the language development of toddlers in Pucangan village. The research design uses a descriptive correlation with a cross sectional study. The population of this study were mothers who had toddlers (1-3 years) in Pucangan village. The sample in this study used cluster random sampling with a total sample of 82 respondents. To determine the number of members in each Posyandu, proportional random sampling was used. The research instrument used parental knowledge questionnaires about anticipatory guidance and Dinver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) sheets to monitor children's language development. Statistical test using Spearmen-rho. The results of this study were that 68 respondents (82.9%) had good knowledge and 14 respondents (17.1%) had sufficient knowledge. For children's motoric development, 49 children (59.8%) were included in the normal category and 33 children (40.2%) were included in the suspect category. After conducting statistical tests, the p value is 0.001 <0.05, which means that ha is accepted, h0 is rejected. The conclusion of this study shows that there is a significant relationship between anticipatory guidance and the language development of toddlers in Pucangan village.
