Abstract
This research aimed at (1) to identify the procedure of the peer feedback implementation in SMPN 2 Kartasura, (2) to find the language aspect discussed by the students to their peers during peer feedback process in SMPN 2 Kartasura, and (3) to know how students perception about peer feedback in SMP N 2 Kartasura. This research uses a qualitative research design. The object of this research is analyzed teacher and students peer feedback EFL classes in SMP N 2 Kartasura. The subject are the teacher and students. The sources of the data in this research includes, events, informant, and the document. The data of this research are collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The researcher employs an interactive model of analysis. This study was triangulated by comparing the results of the interviews and the observations made by the researchers using various data sources. The result of this research shows that (1) the procedure of peer feedback implementation in SMPN 2 Kartasura has been used as a teaching technique that implemented in oral and written. But, the teacher has not fully implemented in class as a teaching technique because the teacher is using the problem-based learning method. (2) The language aspects that are given feedback in this research include grammar, especially mechanics, namely the rules of the written language, such as capitalization and spelling. (3) The student in SMPN 2 Kartasura perceived that they feel more interested and motivated to learn after implementing the peer feedback method. The students also feel enjoyed and satisfied with the implementation of peer feedback in SMPN 2 Kartasura.
