Abstract
Students who migrate with the aim of getting good quality education have unavoidable risks that can affect learning activities which can later have an impact on student learning outcomes, For this reason, overseas students need motivation to learn which can be improved by having good Self-Regulation Learning so that students will be able to be consistent in learning activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Self-Regulation Learning and learning motivation in overseas students who are studying in Surakarta. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach with a sample of overseas students who are actively studying in Surakarta semesters 1-8 with an age range of 18-25 years. The number of samples used is 100 respondents with a non-probability sampling technique, namely the type of purposive sampling. Data collection tool for Self Regulation Learning scale and Learning Motivation scale in the form of a questionnaire and distributed via google form. Data analysis was carried out by means of product moment correlation analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the self-regulation learning variable with learning motivation has a correlation coefficient value (rxy) = 0.271 and sig. = 0.006 (p <0.05) indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between the Self Regulation Learning variable and the learning motivation variable.
