Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the causes of learning difficulties of accounting class X students in basic accounting subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono in the academic year 2019/ 2020, and efforts to overcome the causes of learning difficulties of class X accounting students in basic accounting subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono in the academic year 2019/ 2020. The method used in research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the causes of learning difficulties experienced by students were internal factors including interest, understanding, physiological factors (less active), ability, concentration while external factors included learning atmosphere, methods, teaching materials, time, facilities, background. The impact of learning difficulties affects unfavorable results when evaluating. The effort made by the teacher is to ask again the part that is not understood by students to really understand, replace the method with another method. The conclusion of this study is that internal and external factors that cause learning difficulties have an impact on poor evaluation results with various efforts of teachers to overcome learning difficulties in order to achieve maximum learning outcomes.
