Abstract
Rawa Pening Lake in Semarang Regency faces serious environmental degradation due to sedimentation and massive water hyacinth growth, despite its high natural tourism potential, with hundreds of thousands of visitors per year. Conventional resort development risks exacerbating this situation, necessitating an eco-friendly building approach to support sustainable tourism. The problem formulation includes how to design a resort that reduces environmental impact and implements eco-friendly buildings in Rawa Pening. The main objective is to design a resort with energy efficiency, utilizing water hyacinth for biogas, bioethanol, briquettes, and solar panels, while maximizing natural views and environmentally friendly materials. Methods include primary and secondary data collection, site analysis (topography, climate, access), precedent studies such as the Nanshan Junning Resort, and a synthesis of passive design concepts such as cross-ventilation and building orientation. The space requirements analysis resulted in public, semi-public, private, and energy zones with a total electricity requirement of 217 kW, met by solar panels (276 units) and biogas from water hyacinth. The concept integrates wooden structures, thatched roofs, contour-adaptive foundations, and a zero-waste system for self-sufficient energy, ensuring the resort functions as a tourist accommodation while rehabilitating the lake ecosystem.
