Abstract
The agricultural sector is a key economic pillar in Pulorejo Village, Grobogan Regency; however, post-harvest efficiency remains a major challenge. Currently, rice processing in the area is traditional and fragmented, resulting in high harvest losses and low bargaining power for farmers. To address these issues, this project aims to design a Rice Post-Harvest Center that integrates receiving, drying, storage, milling, and distribution processes into a single efficient, organized, and sustainable facility. The facility is also designed to serve as a hub for education, training, and economic development, thereby enhancing the capacity and self-reliance of local farmers. The methodology employs a descriptive-analytical approach involving literature reviews, field studies, site analysis, and the application of sustainable agro-industrial architectural principles. These principles are implemented through the integration of production functions, social empowerment, energy efficiency, the use of local resources, and eco-friendly waste management. The design concept incorporates a post-harvest workflow system for production efficiency, clear spatial zoning, and passive design strategies—such as cross-ventilation, natural lighting, and materials suited to the tropical climate. Ultimately, this design aims to create an efficient, environmentally friendly post-harvest facility that serves as a center for sustainable agricultural development in Pulorejo Village.
