Abstract
This study aims to describe (1) the forms of grammatical cohesion found in news texts about deep learning; (2) to explain the relevance of grammatical cohesion in deep learning news texts to Indonesian language learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection techniques used are observation to get data by observing news texts, note-taking to record data in the form of words or phrases found in sentences that contain forms of grammatical cohesion, and documentation to document the data sources. The analysis techniques used are the distribution method with the basic BUL technique and advanced techniques in the form of deletion and substitution. The results of this study show that data on forms of grammatical cohesion were found, consisting first of references, which are divided into two forms: third-person references and demonstrative references. Second, substitution, which is divided into four forms: phrase substitution, verb substitution, clause substitution, and noun substitution; third, noun ellipsis. Fourth and last is conjunction, which is divided into three: temporal conjunctions, subordinating conjunctions, and inter-sentence conjunctions. The research results, as the relevance of learning Indonesian language through news texts with the Merdeka curriculum for Phase F of Grade XI, include all elements in the form of teaching materials, namely LKPD.
