Abstract

In the digital as it is today, various digital, one of which streaming music Spotify Music. Of course, the question is related to the Copyright and Economic Rights of the creator of a song that is included in Spotify Music. This study aims to find out how creators can load songs on Spotify Music to how royalties get to the creators. This research uses a normative juridical approach, in which the sources that the authors use are sources that come from library studies, namely in the form of official documents, books related to the object of research, and laws and regulations. In the event that the creator publishes a song on Spotify Music, they grant a copyright license to the song's work through a license agreement to the Music Distributor for later distribution to music streaming applications such as Spotify Music. Royalties will be paid by Spotify Music through the Music Distributor first, after which it will be redistributed back into the hands of the Creator. The amount of royalty is agreed upon in the initial agreement. Copyright protection of song works has been carried out by streaming music Spotify Music. The obligation to pay economic rights in the form of royalties to creators has also been regulated by Spotify Music.
