Abstract

This study aims 1) to determine the effect of using gadgets by early childhood on the socio-emotional development of children after (5-6) years in Gobayan Village and 2) To determine how effective and relative the contribution of variable X to variable Y is in Kindergarten in Gobayan Village. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The number of samples in this study were 54 respondents. The respondents in this study were all parents of children aged 5-6 years. Data collection techniques with questionnaires. Through prerequisite tests, namely validity and reliability tests, normality and linearity tests and simple linear regression tests. The results of this study show that there is an influence between the use of gadgets on social emotional development. The results of this test are obtained from the t test, namely, the comparison between t count and t table. From the calculation results obtained t count = 4.247 .> t table 2007, then H0 is rejected. The use of gadgets provides an effective contribution of 25.8% on social emotional development. It can be concluded that there is a positive influence between the use of gadgets on social emotional development. This shows that there are still 74.2% influenced by other variables, that it is not only the use of gadgets that can affect social emotional development.
