Abstract

Problem solving learning method is a method that is oriented to the use of problems as study material in learning through an analytical process to find answers so that students get a deep understanding and will not be easily lost in their memories. This research is a field research using a qualitative approach. Data collection methods used are interviews, observation and documentation methods. The data analysis technique used in this study is an interactive data analysis technique using triangulation to test the validity of the data. The results showed. The method in increasing interest in learning PAI during the Covid-19 period for class X students at SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta, namely by using problem solving methods can increase interest in learning or be able to develop students' thinking progress in a systematic and coherent manner. There are several ways to increase interest in learning in the classroom, namely: 1) Familiarize discussion, the teacher urges students to discuss and ask questions either with fellow students or with the teacher. 2) Inviting students to connect concepts with one another, this aims to find out what is known during the learning process. 3) Get used to draw conclusions or conclude the results. 4) All materials are summarized systematically. 5) Creative thinking, this helps students understand and process information and trains students to think out of the box.
