Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine adolescent confidence in the culinary business. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the confidence of teenagers in the culinary business? This study uses a qualitative method. Researchers want to understand and find out how confident adolescents in the culinary business are. In this study, the informants used were teenagers aged 17-21 years who run a culinary business in the Menco area, totaling approximately 6 informants. The data to be presented is interview data. This study uses a pileup strategy in validating the accuracy of the results and interpretation. Data analysis is basically a process of organizing one data with another so that data synergy is created between findings in the field. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it shows that culinary business people have a high level of self-confidence, this is indicated by the form of self-confidence of culinary business people, namely being able to make decisions, think positively & rationally, socialize, accept suggestions from others, believe / believe in self-ability, not thinking about competitors and not being satisfied with one thing. Factors that cause culinary business people to be confident in running a culinary business, be consistent, have passion, dare to take risks and have the drive to succeed.
