Abstract
The objectives to be achieved in this research are: 1) Knowing the portrait of students who are entrepreneurial at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, 2) Knowing the student business management at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta by utilizing social media. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with an ethnographic approach in obtaining data. The resource persons in this study were students of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, observation methods and documentation methods. The data analysis technique used is qualitative-interactive analysis which consists of three streams of activity that run simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The conclusions that can be drawn from this research are: 1) The entrepreneurial portrait of students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta can foster high motivation in entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship awakens individuals who are driven by ambition and opportunity who choose to take risks to start their own business with positive externalities for the economy. 2) Business management using social media as a support for entrepreneurship can increase product sales, facilitate interaction with consumers, and expand market networks.
