Abstract
The covid-19 pandemic requires children for studying at home. All student learning activities are carried out at home guidance from parents. So that role of parents in educating children is first. This study aims to describe the role of parents as teachers at home and to describe the close relationship with parents in courageous learning at SD Negeri Kebonromo 3 Sragen during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data methods used was online questionnaires by using Google forms. The data analysis uses interactive analysis, there were reduction, data presentation, and verification. The data validity uses source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that even though parents are busy working, the role of parents as caregivers and educators, as guides, as teachers, as motivators and facilitators has been done well. However, there are some parents who cannot guide their children to study because they were busy on working. Parents also apply reward and punishment. The average reward given by parents is in the form of goods and the punishment given is in the form of a warning to the child. The obstacles nearly happen by parents are the addition of internet quota, lack of understanding of children's material, and not use various methods when studying.
