Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of the family environment on learning achievement of basic accounting students in class X Accounting SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. (2) the effect of the peer environment on learning achievement of basic accounting students in class X Accounting SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. (3) the effect of the family environment and peer environment on learning achievement of basic accounting students in class X Accounting SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. This type of research is quantitative with a census design. The population in this study were 71 students of class X Accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono, with a sample of 71 students using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires and documentation. The validity test uses the Product moment correlation formula and the reliability test uses the Cronbach Alpha formula. The data analysis technique used multiple regression test. The results of the study at the 5% significance level indicate that: (1) There is a positive and significant influence of the Family Environment on Basic Accounting Learning Achievement of Class X Accounting Students of SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. (2) There is a positive and significant influence of Peer Environment on Basic Accounting Learning Achievement of Class X Accounting Students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. (3) There is a positive and significant effect jointly between the Family and Peer Environment on Basic Accounting Learning Achievement in class X Accounting students of SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. The effective contribution of the family environment variable was 12.5%, meanwhile, the effective contribution of the peer environment variable was 12.9%. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.254 or equivalent to 25.4%, the remaining 74.6% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
