Abstract

This research aims to describe students error and analyze the factors causing students error in solve story tasks of mathematic of linear program in the XI SMA Negeri 1 Sukodono. Research involve 30 students in grade XI MS2. Type and design of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection method used test, interview, and documentation. Data analysis method used data reduction, data display, conclusion. These results indicate that: (1) misunderstanding of problem made by students is 10,28% include to low category. (2) mistake of preparing the plan made by students is 19,46% include to low category. (3) mistake of implementating the plan made by students is 34,59% include to high enough category. (4) mistake of looking back made by students is 35,67% include to high enough category. Factors causing the mistake are misunderstanding students about problem, out of sync with their thought, misinterpretation, less about prerequisite abilities, mistake of counting, less about processing method, and time factor.
