Abstract

PT. Dan Liris is a textile industry that processes cotton raw materials into clothing. One of the problems at PT. Dan Liris is the main machine in the dyeing and printing division which has a low productivity value. Therefore, productivity calculation and evaluation to increase machine productivity is very necessary to avoid losses. This study aims to calculate the value of engine productivity, identify the biggest failures that cause less productive machines, and provide suggestions for improvement. The result of monfort machine’s productivity calculation in 2019 showed an OEE value of 40.28%. The result of the calculation of the six big losses indicated that the largest type of loss was the reduce speed losses by 35.981%. The biggest failure of the monfort engine was the stalled single pump with a FRPN of 894. The proposed improvements that can be given are that the company should consider adding a single pump filter, the checking and cleaning of the engine components should be done more frequently, the setting ratio calibration should be done at the start of every shift, paying more attention to the age of the engine’s components and replace it according to the age of use.
