Abstract
This study was designed to describe and analyze the ability of mathematics teachers in MTs Negeri Sukoharjo in Academic Year 2019/2020. How to handle it? How to handle it? How to handle it? This type of research is a descriptive qualitative study with the subject of mathematics teacher VII grade MTs Sukoharjo. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data using three stages, namely the introduction, filtering and completing the data that is still lacking. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data collection, the selection process and the collection of conclusions. The results showed that the teacher had not done the maximum planning because the teacher did not develop activities to study learning using scientific agreement, the teacher only described scientific learning activities together with activities in accordance with the teacher's book resulting in monotonous activities. The teacher has completed 2013 learning, but the teacher cannot develop the potential of students so there are still many students who take part in learning. The ability of Mts Negeri Sukoharjo mathematics teacher in requesting scientific approval for the 2013 curriculum has not been fully fulfilled. In overcoming students who are less active the actions taken by the teacher are by utilizing active students to support the activeness of other students and to deal with students whose catch power is not fast acting the teacher ie teaching materials so that students can understand the material and to help students by increasing house assistance.
