Abstract

Accreditation of public health centers has the main objective for fostering quality improvement and performance through continous improvement the management system, quality management system and implementation service system and management risk programme. Based on accreditation data of public health center in the city of Surakarta, only one out of total of 17 public health centers that have been completed are comprehensive puskesmas gilingan. Human resources are very influential in achieving accreditation of paripurna accreditation puskesmas gilingan, also influenced by the role heads of health center. The purpose of this research is to describe the role of leadership, coaching, motivation, evaluation, participation and commitment heads of public health center and the roles of health center employees in achievement paripurna accreditation in Puskesmas Gilingan Surakarta. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research using case study approach. Informant of this research consists of 2 main informants and 3 triangulation informants with purposive sampling technique. The result of this research showed the head of puskesmas gilingan have good leadership style, discipline and to be responsible, all employees participate, and involved accreditation procces according to ability, everyone get a role, working together and helping each other, raising commitment of all employees by signing a joint commitment on board at the beginning of each year. Conclusions from this research head of puskesmas gilingan have good leadership, trying to be a role model for public health center employees. Employees actively participate in trying to carry out their tasks according to their abilities as a form of their commitment to achieving accreditation.
